The broad intention is to foster meaningful dialogue between the academy and industry so that both may benefit from the association. "Santa Fe, a city of 63,000 people, is situated at 7,000 feet (3218 m) above sea level in a valley between the Jemez and Sangre de Cristo mountain ranges, and it is the oldest capital city in the US. Its rich history and cultural diversity is very apparent in its cathedrals, churches, buildings, and museums.
