Australia
Are you a teacher looking for silkworms, cocoons and mulberry leaves to show to your class? Perhaps you teach textiles and would like to show your students where silk comes from ...
In Australia there aren't many choices but as I find more locations I will add them to this page.
The easiest step is to find someone with mulberry trees, the natural habitat and diet of the silkworm. This is not as easy as it used to be, but it is the best. :-)
Other places to try near your home are:
- the zoo
- local museums
- butterfly farms
- pet stores who sell snakes [they eat silkworms]
Face of Asia Textiles, Level 1, 51-53 The Corso, Manly 2095

BeautifulSilks.com.au sells silkworm cocoons.
